CAP eCC Renamed. The College of American Pathologists announces a new name for its electronic Cancer Checklists.
In an effort to bring consistency to its offerings, the College of American Pathologists (CAP) announced the newly renamed electronic CAP Cancer Protocols (eCP), replacing the former electronic Cancer Checklists (eCC) and electronic Forms and Reporting Module (eFRM) products. The CAP says this change will not affect the functionality or availability of the protocols.
The CAP's electronic Cancer Protocols enable pathologists to use the CAP Cancer Protocols directly within their laboratory information system (AP-LIS) workflow and to ensure that each report is completed with the necessary required elements.
VoiceOver PRO transforms the CAP protocols into voice-enabled templates that take advantage of the smart behaviors provided by the PRO Report Builder. A pathologist can insert a protocol, navigate through questions and select answers either by voice command or via the use of the mouse and keyboard. Protocol content dynamically changes as the checklist is completed, ensuring that the user only answers questions that are relevant.
