Endeavor Health Advances Cloud-Based Digital Pathology with Google Cloud Partnership. Evanston, Ill.-based Endeavor Health is spearheading a transformative shift in pathology by developing a fully cloud-based digital pathology platform in collaboration with Google Cloud.

Led by Dr. John Groth, a pathologist at Endeavor Health, this initiative aims to modernize pathology services across the nine-hospital system by digitizing slides, enhancing interoperability, and integrating artificial intelligence tools.

The fully cloud-based platform facilitates seamless sharing of digital files for second opinions and empowers patients to access their pathology images and consult directly with pathologists, fostering greater transparency and understanding of diagnoses. Dr. Groth emphasizes that this approach moves beyond isolated systems, embracing a safe, seamless, and patient-centered model that can be scaled across healthcare systems.

"This will allow us to drive transformation and advance diagnostics in ways that make a positive impact for patients across our system and deliver the best care now and in the future," Dr. Groth said in a press release.

By overcoming challenges related to proprietary file formats and interoperability, Endeavor Health's cloud-based solution represents a significant leap forward in digital pathology, positioning the organization at the forefront of innovation in diagnostic services.

Endeavor Health is a Voicebrook client and utilizes Voicebrook's VoiceOver PRO pathology reporting solution.

Women in Pathology at the PI Summit. Will you be attending the Pathology Informatics (PI) Summit in Michigan this week? In addition to all of the traditional sessions and excellent information that you'll find at this event, hosted by the Association for Pathology Informatics (API), there's also a new networking opportunity at this year's PI Summit.

API launched the Women in Pathology Informatics (WPI) Group this year. WPI aims to address underrepresentation of women in STEM disciplines, particularly in pathology informatics. WPI illustrates API's commitment to providing a platform for all women members of API, irrespective of their career stages or areas of specialties, to connect with and learn from each other, and drive the innovation in pathology informatics.

On Tuesday, May 20 at the PI Summit, attendees are invited to "Meet Champions of the Women's Networking Event and API's Women in Pathology Informatics (WPI) Group."
