Voicebrook Statement Concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Voicebrook implements precautionary measures to protect employees, clients, and partners, and to do its part in preventing the spread of the virus.

Lake Success, NY, March 11, 2020 -- Voicebrook, the leading provider of speech recognition and reporting solutions for pathology, today announced that it is implementing company-wide preventative protocols with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

"At Voicebrook we take the health of our employees, clients, and partners very seriously," said E. Ross Weinstein, CEO at Voicebrook. "We believe that we should hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Therefore, we are making temporary adjustments to our company protocols in light of global efforts to contain the impact of COVID-19, building upon recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and state and local health departments."

The following precautionary steps seek to ensure that all parties are protected and that Voicebrook clients can continue to receive the excellent service required to provide continuity of care to patients.

Voicebrook has suspended all transcontinental travel for employees at this time, as well as all domestic travel for internal company meetings. Additionally, employees will not participate in external meetings or events with more than 1000 attendees. Staffing at the Voicebrook corporate office will be limited to essential personnel only. This seeks to minimize the risk of viral spread and cross-contamination, while ensuring the continuity of support and maintenance of back-office functions throughout the recommended precautionary period. These changes will not impact the support that clients receive.

Domestic travel for work with clients is permitted, although virtual meetings are encouraged when appropriate. Voicebrook will offer clients optional remote meetings and services in place of scheduled on-site visits. This may apply to on-premise pre-implementation activities, “go-live” events, or project follow-up. There are plans in place to perform all project tasks remotely, while maintaining the highest quality of service.

Additionally, all Voicebrook employees have been instructed to seek medical care and self-quarantine in the event that they show any symptoms of acute respiratory illness (including but not limited to fever, shortness of breath, and cough), or have potentially come in contact with a person who has been infected with COVID-19.

"Voicebrook is keeping all those who are affected by this virus in our thoughts. As the global situation evolves, our team will continue to evaluate and take the steps necessary to safeguard public health," Weinstein said. "We look forward to getting back to normal business activities as quickly as possible. In the meantime, rest assured that we will continue to focus on delivering the highest quality service available during this stressful time."
