BEST PATHOLOGY IT IMPLEMENTATION EVER...
"Our VoiceOver® implementation was the best Pathology IT implementation that I have ever been involved in. The entire process was extreme smooth and the utilization of the product has by far exceeded my wildest expectations."
William Watkin, MD
Director of Anatomic Pathology
North Shore University Health System - Evanston

VOICEBROOK MADE OUR MEDITECH UPGRADE WORTHWHILE...

"While testing for an LIS upgrade, I contacted Voicebrook because of issues I was having with our LIS, MEDITECH. Voicebrook took this opportunity to review our workflow and investigate how our implementation of VoiceOver® could be enhanced in conjunction with our LIS upgrade. They quickly identified opportunities for optimization and offered solutions to streamline our process. The new workflow enhancements were implemented and our MEDITECH upgrade was soon met with enthusiasm by our pathologists. Voicebrook made our system upgrade worthwhile."

SOFTWARE DOES NOT TAKE VACATIONS...

"Voice recognition software has come a long way since my department first employed it in 1997. Current software applications provide extremely accurate transcription comparable to the best transcribers, and the Voicebrook application fits perfectly into the regular workflow of the department and our Cerner Millennium LIS.

Beyond the obvious benefits of having dictated text immediately available for review, with direct impact on turnaround time, voice recognition software does not take vacations, does not require sick time, and willingly works nights and weekends when required. The economic benefit is substantial, and in our case, we have not had a medical transcriber on payroll since 1997. Just as no pathologist can contemplate a future without a pathology computer system, I cannot contemplate a future without voice recognition software, and the applications are only getting better."
Dr. Paul E. Kalish, Medical Director
NSLIJHS Laboratories - Glen Cove Hospital
Chairman - Department of Pathology

ADAPTED TO IT VERY WELL...

"Our department's been successful in getting a number of people who were initially resistant to it up and running, and they've done very well on it. We had a pathologist in his late 70's who came in and was doing temporary work. He was very hesitant when we first started, but we spent some time with him and he became a big convert to the system, and he actually adapted to it very well."
Dr. Steven Drexler, Anatomic Pathologist, Neuropathologist
Winthrop University Hospital

SPOILED BY VOICEBROOK...

"Staff feel that when an issue has been raised, the Voicebrook technical team plays an active role in making sure that the issue is resolved. I must admit, I am spoiled by the organizational structure, attention to detail, appropriate communication and timeliness of action issues that I experienced with Voicebrook. Maybe Voicebrook should offer classes on project planning to other companies."

MADE OUR WORK SO VERY EASY...

"We have data from many months now showing that this has improved our turnaround time, made our work so very easy, and stopped the hurry-up- and-wait situation that we used to be in earlier with transcription.

VoiceOver® has had a huge positive impact on our training program for the resident, because now the residents can themselves dictate reports into the LIS before they even come to the pathologists. When they sit with their attending pathologist to look at the slides, they can now see what changes the pathologist is making to the report in real time, and they can be part of the entire process, from dictation of gross descriptions to sign-out."
Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Vice Chair, Anatomic Pathology
Stony Brook University Medical Center
CAN'T IMAGINE SUCCESS WITHOUT VOICEBROOK...
"We looked at implementing Dragon Medical through a local reseller, but after Voicebrook showed us what it takes to fully address all aspects of workflow, conform to our standards, optimize our use of templates, and prepare, train and support our staff, I realized that without Voicebrook our transition to speech recognition would have been more difficult. I can't imagine how we would have been successful without a company like Voicebrook, whose focus is on Pathology reporting. It was money well spent."

ENHANCES ABILITY TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AND TIMELY REPORTS...

"We believe we are the first pathology group in the State to implement voice activated transcription. High quality patient care is always our primary concern, and we believe this system enhances our ability to provide accurate and timely reports."
Dr. Mark Bauman, Medical Director
Bloomington Hospital Laboratory

SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN PATHOLOGIST EFFICIENCY...

"In the few months since Temple University Hospital implemented VoiceOver® speech recognition in Pathology, we have seen a significant increase in the efficiency of the pathologists and improvement in turnaround time for the specimens. It has also been a useful tool for resident training, as it encourages them to formulate their thoughts and dictate it into a coherent report, prior to sign-out with the attendings. All in all, it has been a change in the right direction."
Dr. Rebecca M. Thomas
Temple University Medical Center

DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENTS COMPARED TO TRANSCRIPTION...

"UPMC recently studied the impact of implementing the Voicebrook VoiceOver® speech recognition solution in our facilities, and we have identified several dramatic improvements in our ability to deliver high quality pathology reports compared to traditional transcription practices. These results included a significant reduction in turnaround time coupled with a decrease in transcription errors of over 48%. In addition, we were able to achieve these results despite an increase in our caseload over the same time period."
Dr. Anil Parwani
Director of Pathology Informatics
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

VOICEBROOK PROVIDES EXCELLENT PLANNING AND EXECUTION...

"Voicebrook did a tremendous job in all aspects of the project. We have had a very successful transition to voice recognition and most of the success is due to Voicebrook's excellent project planning and execution. I have no complaints or possible improvement recommendations. I am very glad that we selected you as our vendor of choice for voice recognition, I am not sure it would have been a success with any other vendor."
Dr. Jeffrey K. Smith, Medical Director
Billings Clinic Laboratory

VOICEBROOK IS COMPETENT...

"I wish that all vendors were as competent as Voicebrook. Please keep it up."
Dr. Richard Sibley
Director of Surgical Pathology
Stanford University Medical Center
SECOND TO NONE...
"Every response that I have received from a doctor has been positive. The simplicity of the system, the amazing project team and the continued support have been second to none."
Christopher Sheeder HTL (ASCP)
Pathology Manager
Catholic Healthcare West

WE NO LONGER WAIT, AND WE HAVE FEWER MISTAKES...
"Our pathology department switched from manual transcription to the exclusive use of Voicebrook speech recognition technology about three years ago. The results have been dramatic. We no longer wait hours for our typed reports to come back from transcription. As soon as the pathologist dictates the report, he proofreads it and then signs the case out. The speech recognition technology is phenomenal -- we encounter fewer mistakes than with human transcription. I cannot imagine doing things the old way."
Dr. Edward Fody, Director of Pathology
Holland Hospital

IT'S INTUITIVE AND EASY TO USE...

"As a pathology department that has been using voice recognition for over seven years prior to our Voicebrook implementation, we are impressed with the accuracy of the Voicebrook system, its intuitive design and ease of use. The system nicely integrated into our Lab Information System. The implementation was fast, painless, and on time. The team at Voicebrook is responsive and understands the needs of its customers."
Hamid Moattari
Administrative Director of Pathology
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

IT MAKES PA'S MORE EFFICIENT...

"Real-time reporting has made me more efficient and Pathologists no longer ask me to re-review the gross description."
Parker Marquardt, Pathologist Assistant
Billings Clinic

QUICK RAMPUP AND AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE...

"If you give each pathologist several days to adjust, and they are open-minded about the change, they will ramp up quickly. Our pathologists were quite comfortable with VoiceOver® after about two weeks of full-time use. The best part has been the amazing customer service we have received. Voicebrook's response time is second to none."
Dr. William Pitts, Chief Pathologist
Pathology Associates of Fresno

ENHANCES BOTH WORKFLOW AND SAFETY...

"As a 21 year practicing pathologist, I have found VoiceOver® enhances both workflow and safety. Studies have shown that transcription misassignment (attaching incorrect dictation to cases by transcribers) is an important cause of pathology error. By putting that assignment in the hands of the pathologist and by making that assignment while the report is open in front of the reviewing pathologist; one source of historical clerical error is eliminated."
Dr. David Slater
Community Medical Center - Fresno

SURPASSED WHAT WAS PROMISED...

"This is one situation in which the software we received was so fine-tuned to our workflow that it surpassed what was promised in the demonstration."
Kathy Huber, Practice Administrator
Pathology Associates of Fresno

VoiceOver® IS A TIME SAVER...

"When I used to dictate to the transcription system, there was never a case signed out before 10 o'clock in the morning. Now I sign cases out as soon as I see the slides. It could be at 7, could be at 8, and could be at 9. In the old days, cases were dictated in batches, and by the time you dictated four or five cases and got interrupted with phone calls and then went back to see whether they were ready to sign out, it was always at least an hour. That just doesn't happen anymore.

Two of the older pathologists in our group, who were motivated, were using VoiceOver® 100% after 3 days. They both find that it's a time-saver."
